Sovvi Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2, 2026 Effective date: November 2, 2026

Welcome to Sovvi (the "Platform"). Sovvi is a community for browsing, taking part in and making interactive works: you can browse photos, videos, text and interactive works that others post, take part in them, talk with other people, and use the Platform's AI to turn an idea into a work of your own and post it.

These Terms are an agreement between you and OPENIM CORPORATION LIMITED ("we", "us") about your use of the Sovvi iOS app, its sharing web pages and related services (together, the "Service"). Before you sign up for or use the Platform, please read these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy carefully; the Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms. By checking the box when you create an account, or by continuing to use the Platform without signing in, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to all of these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not sign up for or use the Platform.

1 Accounts

  1. The Platform is only for people aged 18 or over and is not directed to minors. If we learn, or have reasonable grounds to believe, that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will disable it and delete the related data as described in the Privacy Policy.
  2. You can sign up with your own valid email address and a password, or sign in with Apple or Google; one email address can register one email account. The information you give when you sign up must be true, lawful and valid, and you must not use another person's email address or identity. You can browse and try works without signing in; liking, commenting, saving, taking part in works that keep your progress, posting, creating and messaging need an account.
  3. Once you sign up you can use your account; it is for you alone and cannot be transferred (see paragraph 4). Keep your password, verification codes and sign-in credentials safe; you are responsible for theft of your account, leaks of information or other loss caused by failing to do so, except where we are at fault. If you find that your account has been taken over, change your password and contact us as soon as possible.
  4. An account is for your own use only. You must not buy, sell, rent, share or register accounts for others in any form, register accounts in bulk or use them to drive traffic for commercial purposes. Your nickname and profile picture must not impersonate anyone or contain content these Terms prohibit. The Platform may verify, restrict, freeze or ban accounts with unusual sign-ins, bulk activity or that trigger our security controls.
  5. If we disabled an account of yours for breaking these Terms, you may not sign up again without our permission. You must not be on any applicable sanctions list or be located in an embargoed country or region.

2 Our Service and intellectual property

  1. The Platform offers browsing and recommendations, posting photos, videos and text, taking part in interactive works, making works with AI, remixes, likes, saves, comments, follows, search, direct messages, group chats and rooms for multiplayer works. What is offered is what the app actually provides. We may add, change or remove features at any time and will tell you about major changes in the app.
  2. The Platform's logo, interface design, software code, platform SDK, product design, official documents and all other intellectual property (except user content) belong to us or our licensors. As long as you comply with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service on devices you own or control. No one may copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute or use them commercially without our written permission.
  3. We do our best to keep the Service stable and secure, but we do not promise that it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for short interruptions or unavailability caused by maintenance, upgrades, failures of third-party services, network problems or events beyond our control.

3 Your content

"Your content" means everything you submit in the Service: photos, videos, text, comments, nickname, profile picture, messages, your answers to and contributions in works, materials you upload, your ideas for works, and works generated by the Platform that you post.

  1. You keep ownership of your content. Everything you post must be your own original work or properly licensed, and must not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, portrait, reputation, privacy or other rights.
  2. You grant the Platform a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license, which we may sublicense only to service providers working for us, to store, display, distribute, recommend, review and transcode your content and adapt its format for different devices, as needed to provide and operate the Service, and to make it available to other users according to the audience you choose. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for parts that others have already lawfully used under your settings (see paragraphs 3 and 4), parts the law requires us to keep, and copies that remain in backups for a reasonable period.
  3. Audience and shared works. You choose who can see each post (everyone, people who follow you, mutual follows, people with the link, or only you) and can change it at any time; public posts may appear in recommendations, Explore and search. Some works show participants' contributions (for example a choice, a sentence, a picture or a score) to everyone who can see the work, with the contributor's nickname and profile picture. Your contributions are visible to others, and you can withdraw them at any time.
  4. Remixes. You can turn on "Allow remixes" for your own interactive works (off by default). When it is on, other users who can see the work can make their own version from a copy of it and post it, credited as a remix of your work. Turning it off stops new remixes; remixes already posted are not affected.
  5. The Platform has zero tolerance for illegal and objectionable content. You must not post, or use works to spread: content that breaks the laws where you live; sexual content involving minors or any inappropriate contact with minors (we will remove it, disable the accounts involved and report it to the authorities as the law requires); pornographic or vulgar content, or intimate images shared without consent; graphic violence, terrorism or violent extremism; content encouraging or glorifying suicide or self-harm; gambling, fraud, drugs, weapons or other illegal activity; false advertising or deceptive promotion; content infringing others' rights or disclosing others' personal information; rumors, harassment, abuse, hate or content meant to stir up conflict; or works designed to deceive users, obtain personal information, get around the Platform's limits or interfere with other users. Fake likes, fake comments, bulk spam and anything else that harms the community are prohibited, as are attacking, probing or breaking the Service or its security, reverse engineering the app, or accessing the Service with scripts or automation without permission.
  6. The Platform reviews user content through human review and handles reports and appeals. We may remove, block or hide content that breaks the rules, and depending on how serious the breach is, warn, restrict, freeze or permanently ban the account that posted it, and report it to law enforcement where necessary. Reviewing content does not mean that we endorse or guarantee it.
  7. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time. Deleted content stops being shown immediately, and its files and text are cleared from our servers after the period stated in the Privacy Policy.

4 Interactions

  1. Likes, saves, comments, follows, taking part in works, remixes and sharing are interactions on the Platform. You are fully responsible for the comments, contributions and other content of your interactions.
  2. The Platform may delete spam, provocative comments, personal attacks and other comments that break the rules, and restrict the commenting and interaction of the accounts involved; the author of a post can also hide comments under it.
  3. Interaction counts on the Platform (such as likes, participants and followers) are community data shown on the Platform only and are not a guarantee or endorsement of any kind.

5 Interactive works and AI creation

  1. Interactive works on the Platform are small programs made by users (with the Platform's AI) and posted after the Platform checks them. They run in an environment isolated from your account, cannot get your password or sign-in credentials, and cannot reach the network on their own. Each work is its author's responsibility; we check works but do not guarantee that a work is free of errors, always available or suitable for you. You can leave a work at any time; please report any problem.
  2. When you tap "Take part" in a work, you agree that the work may use the abilities it declares, such as saving your progress, submitting your choices or contributions, showing your nickname and profile picture on leaderboards and participant lists, getting your approximate location (about 1 km), using the loudness and pitch from your microphone, reading motion and orientation, picking one photo from your library, saving a picture to your photos, and setting reminders. Abilities that need a system permission also show the system's own prompt; you can refuse, or turn them off at any time in your device's settings. The microphone gives works loudness and pitch only; nothing is recorded or uploaded.
  3. The Platform uses third-party AI models (currently DeepSeek's) to turn your ideas into works, change works, suggest descriptions for photos you post. Creation sends your ideas, answers, briefs, change requests, material lists and descriptions, full text materials and work files. Picture and sound creation materials themselves are not sent. Photo description suggestions separately send a thumbnail of the photo; see the Privacy Policy. The app asks for your separate consent before you first create with AI; you can withdraw it at any time in the app's Settings, after which you cannot create with AI.
  4. You must not use AI to impersonate others, invent facts, fake someone's face or voice, or make pornographic, fraudulent or misleading content, must not try to make the model get around its limits, and must not ask it to copy other people's characters, trademarks, brands, artwork, photos, music, lyrics, videos or games.
  5. Whoever posts AI-generated content is responsible for its truthfulness, legality and accuracy. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or similar to others' works; check it yourself before you post it, and do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. The Platform may take down AI content that breaks the rules and penalize accounts that do so repeatedly. Between you and us, the AI-generated parts of works you post are treated as your content; we make no promise about whether they are protected by law.
  6. The AI tools on the Platform only assist your creation, and their output does not represent the Platform's position or views. Creation has limits on how many times and how long it can be used (for example, generations per day), which we may change or pause. Creating is free for now; if we start charging, we will tell you in advance and will never charge you without your knowledge.

6 Direct messages, group chats and multiplayer rooms

  1. Direct messages and group chats are only for lawful social communication. You must not use them to harass people, send commercial ads in bulk, spread illegal content or pull people into groups to drive traffic. To prevent harassment, someone you have not replied to can send you only one text message.
  2. Group owners are responsible for managing what is said in their groups. The Platform may warn, restrict or dismiss groups that break the rules and restrict the messaging of the accounts responsible.
  3. We do not look at your messages on our own initiative. For each message we keep a record without its content (sender, conversation and a digest of its words, for 30 days) to verify reports; when you report a message, it is submitted to us for review together with up to 10 text messages before it. Except where the law requires it or to handle a report, our staff do not read your conversations. To deliver notifications you enable, necessary sender information and message previews are shared with the push notification provider, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
  4. You must not use messages or group chats to ask for others' private information, send pornographic or vulgar material, or spread phishing or scam links.
  5. Rooms of multiplayer works are live and what happens in them is not saved; we only record who was in which room and when, for 30 days.
  1. When using the Platform, you must comply with the cybersecurity, data protection, personal information and internet service laws that apply where you are, including but not limited to the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Canada.
  2. You are responsible for your content and your conduct on the Platform. If they lead to a third-party complaint, claim, administrative penalty or lawsuit, you bear the responsibility the law places on you; any loss to us is dealt with under section 13.

8 Reporting, blocking and appeals

  1. If you find content or users that break the rules, you can report posts, comments, profiles, messages in direct messages and group chats, groups, people in multiplayer rooms and other people's pictures in shared works from the report option on each, choosing a reason and adding a note. You can report posts, comments and profiles without signing in.
  2. We review reports within 24 hours of receiving them. Where a breach is confirmed, we promptly remove the content and act on the account under these Terms. We tell the reporter the outcome and never tell the reported person who reported them. Content reported by several accounts for a high-risk reason may be hidden before we review it.
  3. You can block other users at any time. A blocked user cannot follow you or respond to your posts, you cannot message each other, neither of you sees the other while signed in, and you are never placed in the same room.
  4. If your content is removed or your account is penalized or banned, we will tell you. Within 30 days you can appeal once, following the instructions in our notice or through the appeal option in the app; we will review it and tell you the result, which is final. We may restrict the reporting of anyone who makes malicious or false reports.

9 Feedback and updates

  1. If you have any comment on or complaint about the Platform's features, updates, review decisions or support, you can send it to our contact email.
  2. We will record and follow up on your feedback within a reasonable time, but feedback or a complaint does not oblige us to change the product as you request or to reverse an action taken under our rules.
  3. We decide our own updates and roadmap; an update does not oblige us to build features that a particular user has asked for.

10 Suspension and termination

  1. You can stop using the Platform at any time, or end these Terms by deleting your account in Settings › Account & security. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone; the Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data.
  2. We may suspend or end your use of your account without your agreement if: (1) you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms; (2) a court, law enforcement or regulatory authority requires it; (3) your account has been inactive for a long time; or (4) you gave false information or used someone else's identity when you signed up.
  3. After these Terms end, you can no longer use the Service, and we will handle your past content and personal information as the Privacy Policy and applicable law require.
  4. Your liability for breaches or infringements during your use of the Platform, and the indemnity in these Terms, survive termination.

11 Disclaimers

  1. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". The Platform only provides storage space and community features for users and makes no express or implied guarantee about the truthfulness, accuracy, completeness or safety of what users post; you rely on other users' content at your own judgment and risk. Rights that the law gives you as a consumer and that cannot be excluded by agreement are not affected.
  2. Meetings, private transactions and communication between users outside the Platform are their own affairs. The Platform takes no part in them, gives no guarantee about them and is not responsible for any dispute or loss arising from them.
  3. The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services posted by users. Those links and services are the responsibility of the third parties, and we are not responsible for their content, safety or quality.
  4. We are not liable for failed uploads, lost drafts or similar problems caused by your own device, incompatible systems, lost network signal or misuse.

12 Limitation of liability

  1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total cumulative liability to you under these Terms or in connection with your use of the Service is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100).
  2. This limitation does not apply where applicable law does not allow liability to be excluded or limited (for example, personal injury caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence).
  3. You understand and accept that this limit is the basis on which we provide the Service free of charge and a reasonable allocation of risk between us, and that you knew of and agreed to it before using the Platform.

13 Indemnity

  1. If your content, conduct, AI-created works or messages break these Terms or the law and lead a third party to bring a lawsuit, complaint, claim or administrative investigation against us, you will, to the extent the law allows, compensate us for the reasonable losses we suffer and the reasonable costs we incur as a result, including reasonable legal fees.
  2. You are not responsible for any part of those losses or costs caused by our own fault.
  3. We will tell you promptly about such a claim, and you may help with or take part in responding to it. Handling it ourselves does not change the allocation of responsibility above.
  4. Where the law gives you protections that cannot be excluded, that law applies.

14 Additional terms for Apple

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store and use it on an Apple device, the following also applies:

  1. These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Your license to use the app is limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
  3. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
  4. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  5. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws, as well as intellectual property disputes and customer service requests.
  6. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of the claim.
  7. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).
  9. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  10. If Apple requires us to remove or change the app under the App Store rules, that is not a breach of these Terms by us.

15 Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as the law or our business changes. We will announce updates in the app or on this page. If you keep using the Platform after an update, you accept the revised Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Platform and delete your account.

16 Governing law and disputes

  1. These Terms are made in Singapore. Their formation, validity, interpretation, performance and the resolution of disputes are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute about these Terms or their performance shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; failing that, either party may bring it before the competent courts of Singapore. Where the law where you live lets you sue in your local courts or gives you protections that cannot be excluded, that law applies.
  2. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable because it conflicts with applicable law, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to exercise a right is not a waiver of it.
  3. These Terms are available in English and Chinese. If the two differ, the English version prevails.
  1. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, trademark or other rights, report it in the app (choose "Infringes rights") or email contact@openim.io with: who you are and how to reach you; the work that is infringed; where the content is on the Service (a link or the post's name); a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law; a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for them; and your signature (your full name is enough). We will act promptly on a notice that meets these requirements and tell the person who posted the content, who may send a counter-notice if they believe it was a mistake. Accounts of repeat infringers will be disabled.
  2. Operator: OPENIM CORPORATION LIMITED. Contact email: contact@openim.io.
